Beyond the desk

The same habits, pointed at different problems: trades in the field, decisions at midnight, phones that ring themselves, and iron.

The stack

One client, end to end

Most software firms sell you a point tool and wish you luck. Capstone follows the whole relationship.

  1. Win the work

    Engage

A Companies House lookup becomes a priced proposal, an e-signed engagement letter, and money collected. Five minutes, start to signed.

  2. Run the practice

    AccountFlow

Every client, every HMRC deadline, every email chase. One hub, one flat price that stays put when you hire.

  3. Answer anything

    Footnote

The tax question that used to eat your afternoon gets an answer with HMRC citations and a confidence score. Or a refusal, which is its own kind of answer.

  4. Decode the post

    Envelope

The brown envelope lands, Envelope reads it: letter type, the deadlines it triggers, and a drafted reply waiting for your review.

  5. Tell the story

    Narrative

Trial balance in, a branded management-accounts pack out, with compliance checks nobody else runs and commentary you approve line by line.

  6. Reach the field

    Graft

Your CIS subcontractor clients keep their tax position, mileage and receipts straight in their pocket, with you inside the app.

The evidence gate

Cited. Scored. Or refused.

Every AI answer is grounded in official guidance, cited and confidence-scored, or refused. That refusal is the feature. It is the difference between an AI that sounds right and one you can put in the client file.

And numbers never come from the model. Tax, deadlines and projections are computed by deterministic, tested code. Athena explains; she does not arithmetic her way into your accounts.

Question

Can my client reclaim VAT on a car used partly for business?

Athena

Generally no. Input tax on a car is blocked unless it is used exclusively for business purposes, with narrow exceptions for taxis, driving schools and self-drive hire.

Question

What will HMRC's MTD penalties look like in 2029?

Who builds this

An accountant with a barbell habit

Capstone is built by a practising accountant, which is why the suite obsesses over citations, deadlines and audit trails rather than dashboards nobody reads. The same founder holds a WDFPF world powerlifting title, which is where The Forge comes from. Different rooms, same rule: do the reps, show your working, let the results argue for you.
